[TUTORIAL] Taking Screenshot On Chromium Browser

Bismillah. Chromium Browser is a web browser licensed in open source license[1], and it is a browser that Google Chrome[2] developed from it. Yes Google Chrome, the one of fastest browser, build from Chromium source code. And we can say that Chromium is open source version from Google Chrome. Chromium availabe for all operating system (Linux, Windows, and Mac OS X). What makes people charm is Chromium can use Google Chrome extensions (plugins/addins). And sometimes we want to take screenshot (photograph) from a site but we feel difficult if we must use manual screenshot application. Now we can use built-in screenshot capturer in Chromium using Chrome Extension: Screen Capture.

How to take screenshot from a site in Chromium? And what part of site that can I take? A piece, a whole, or just visible content? I will show it. First, you should visit Chrome Web Store - Screen Capture. Install that extension then restart Chromium. You will see an icon in top-right corner of browser. That is Screen Capture icon.

What is visible content? The meaning of visible content is whole region you can see from browser although it is not a whole of page. You can take it with click on the icon and select Capture Visible Content.

Taking A Region by Yourself

Click the icon, and select Capture Page Region. You can use shortcut key Crtl+Alt+R. This will show you a dark rectangle that you can resize it maximum as whole page size. You can choose a regioin of page.

Taking A Whole Site

Click the icon, and select Capture Whole Page. You can use shortcut key Ctrl+Alt+H beside that. Browser appearace will scrolling down and you will face a menu on top. Thare is a save icon on the menu. Save it.
