long life, this is a LED bulp should last about 100.000 hours giving them a
life 20 years longer than the other bulp.
Philips was the only entrant for the competition and
its design underwent 18 months of testing before being declare a winer. A
cheaper and less efficient version of
the LED bulp is already sold by philips in the US and europe. Philips
production 100 watt bulp, 40 watt and 60 watt has stoped production.
