You
can make fruit into a mask for the face. Here are some tips from me to make a
natural facial mask.
Some Useful Tips
Before
applying any facial mask clean your face and neck with fresh water.
Take off all cosmetics, creams, lotions, in short: everything. Use a non
abrasive, non aggressive soap if necessary. When finished, pat your skin dry.
This
is the mask for all skin types.
These
are just to give you an idea, if you look around you will probably find many
more fruity options. In some cases you could add a little bit of warmed up
extra virgin Olive or organic Honey to enhance the moisturizing and soothing
effect on your skin
When
you mashed the fruit, spread this gently and equally with your fingertips on
your clean face and neck: keep the eye area clear.
Now
lie down, relax and leave the mask on for 15-20 minutes.
Then
wash it off with alternately cold and warm water and end with a splash of cold;
pat your skin dry with a clean towel. Finally apply a moisturizer,
this way you "seal" your skin to keep the water inside.
There are some recipes for
how to create a mask of some of these fruits

How to do it:
Mash
the avocado, banana and papaya into a nice smooth paste

c. Pineapple, papaya, mango, honey fruit mask
Is it
a fruit salad or a fruit mask? We decided it's both
As a
fruit mask it is good for all skin types except sensitive and tender
skin. It lightens your skin color a bit, makes the skin soft and shiny, shrinks
your pores and stimulates skin recovery. The honey finishes it off by
repairing, keeping the moisture inside and making your skin feel as
soft and smooth as ever
What do you need:
- 3 slices
fresh Papaya
- 1 slice
fresh Pineapple
- 2 slices
fresh Mango
- 1/2
tablespoon organic Honey
How to do it:
Warm
up the honey until it becomes liquid (not too hot!) by putting it in a small
glass or metal bowl which is immersed in hot water. Mash the papaya, mango and
pineapple in a food processor and add the honey. Blend it into a
smooth and uniform mash
Spread
this gently and equally with your fingertips on your clean face and neck: keep
the eye area clear
Now
lie down, relax and leave the mask on for 20 minutes
Then wash it off with lukewarm
water and end with a splash of cold; pat your skin dry with a clean towel.
Finally apply a moisturizer, this way you "seal" your skin to keep
the water inside.
A small word of caution: before you apply any mask, we recommend
you do a patch test on a small piece of skin (ex. behind the ear) to test your
sensitivity to it.
